It’s Release Day! Flashpoint is Live!

FlashPoint Cover _ Silver textHappy Thursday, y’all! As a few of you are aware, Thursday is my favorite day of the week, for SO many reasons. Good things always happen to me on Thursdays and I don’t recall a Thursday ever letting me down. So, it’s with a joyful heart I bring to you, my dear readers, fans, friends, critics, and fellow writers, this Thursday’s good tidings.

IT’S RELEASE DAY!!

I haven’t had an “official” release day with all the bells and whistles and posts everywhere in quite some time. I have had a boxed set out for a little bit, but that was an experiment more or less. This release is full-on, get excited stuff.

Little background on this project before I get to the really good stuff, the link and particulars. Before my sabbatical, I had two books out which absolutely held my heart and my creative mind. I’d been encouraged to create a series from one and the other had been envisioned as a series from the beginning. Neither came to fruition. The first book was met with good reviews, as it was my very first published work. I considered it my learning work. The other book, as it turned out, would be my last published work. It was met with great reviews, because I had learned and my voice had become quite developed.

So, what happened?

Life. Life happened.

With the industry in flux, a couple of my publishers closed their doors and a string of messy family stuff happened. My grandma died and my heart broke. Then I battled cancer and won. But writing during all that went on the back burner. And, neither series was ever developed past the big white board stage.

During my sabbatical, I continued to write, I just didn’t sub out. I also participated regularly in NaNoWriMo activities. And while all that was going on, the characters from both books continued to talk to me. The more they talked, the more I realized, they were not two separate entities. All these characters who’d been in my first published work and my last published work knew each other. The problem was, how did I mesh the two? There were two major alpha heroes involved and everyone knows there can be only one alpha. Who would win?

For a while it was anyone’s guess, but then…the pieces of the puzzle started to fall into place and it became evident who was the winner here and who needed to bow out gracefully. That completed puzzle became book one in the series which is born of these two stories you can download today. It’s called Parallax and is currently subbed out. Book two is complete and with my beta team and editors, ready to go whenever I find out what Parallax’s fate is. And book three is about a third written. Things are coming along nicely. My readership will finally find out sometime in 2020 which alpha was left standing and which side all the characters fell on.

In the meantime, y’all can catch up and find out how a series was born from the two books which started and stalled my writing career.

Flashpoint is now available at Amazon for $0.99 for a limited time and is free on Kindle Unlimited. It’s a set of two full length contemporary suspense romance novels with a leaning toward women’s fiction. Restitution and Absolution are waiting for you to one-click.

Two Marines, both on the cusp of attaining the rank of Major. One left willingly; one was forced out. Two companies, both built from the ground up for a common purpose. One is above board; one is off the books. Ten years ago, their worlds met. Now, only one will survive the aftermath.

Chase Wayland isn’t looking for a relationship status. In fact, any type of agreement past weekend lover is even a stretch. A former Marine Raider, he now owns his own security firm and is interested in only one thing: keeping his clients safe. He has a failed marriage under his belt and trust isn’t in his vocabulary. In his mind, no amount of restitution can fix that. There’s only one way in Chase’s world and that’s his way whether anyone, including his current client, agrees or not.

Kyle Montgomery’s life was seemingly perfect. Heavily recruited fresh from the Naval Academy, he’d been working black ops for the Marine Corps for six years. He was on the fast track to bigger and better things, had all the right people vetting him, and he’d married the woman of his dreams. Then, with the Middle East in turmoil, Kyle was sent on a mission which would change the course of his life forever. Absolution will be hard coming.

Restitution and Absolution, the Flashpoint from which a series is born.

S3…coming soon.
